Proofreading and Editing

We believe that proofreading and editing are two of the most important services we provide for international students.
When English is your second language mistakes are easily made, but when it comes to coursework, dissertations or written exams, grammatical and spelling mistakes can mean the difference between your college understanding your work, or marking you down.

Proofreading and Editing

Our proofreading and editing service can be as comprehensive as you need it to be. We cover all types of writing depending upon the needs of each student. These provisions include:

  • School coursework
  • Reports
  • PhD theses
  • Mater’s dissertation
  • Conference papers
  • Journal articles
  • Books
  • Essays
  • and Other professional documents

We offer three different types of service for proofreading and editing, and it is the student’s who determine which they need.
Service A Service A is the basic package, including correction of spelling and vocabulary.

Service B Service B is the intermediate package which includes correction of spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and format editing.

Service C Service C is the inclusive package offering correction of spelling, vocabulary, grammar, editing, providing advice regarding a thesis/dissertation structure.

We offer these services to all students and professionals, at all levels, including non-technical writing and advanced papers for publication.

About Proofreading and Editing

At Kenton College we take our proofreading and editing service very seriously. We feel it is one of the most important things we do, and yet this service is easily misconstrued.

Our proofreaders have a high standard and understanding of English and are very capable proofreaders. Their job is to pull out the meaning of a piece of writing - not to change it. The most capable students can be overlooked because their essay is incoherent or has excessive spelling and vocabulary mistakes. They could well be an A grade student, but might only be achieving a C because of missed meanings lost behind the mistakes which, to a native speaker, would be considered very basic errors.

Please note: Our proofreaders never edit the meaning of a paper, they never change the context and they never enable a student to receive a grade they would not have already received if their application of English were better.
